20th BSMC Alumni UK Chapter Reunion – Glasgow 2026
The BSMC alumni family gathered at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, Glasgow, from 29-31 August 2026 to celebrate our milestone 20th-year reunion.
The weekend brought together generations of alumni and their families for three memorable days of friendship, academic exchange, cultural celebration and togetherness – honouring the journey that began in Glasgow in 2006.
Learning and Sharing Across Generations
Academic exchange remained an important part of the Glasgow reunion. Our sessions brought alumni together to share professional knowledge, explore developments in healthcare and learn from the diverse experiences of colleagues working across different specialties and systems. These conversations reflected the academic values of BSMC and our continuing commitment to learning from one another.
Honouring Our Senior Alumni
One of the most meaningful moments of the reunion was the felicitation of our senior alumni. We paid tribute to those whose friendship, leadership and commitment laid the foundations of the BSMC Alumni UK Chapter and helped sustain it across generations.
Their contribution reminds us that our reunions are not simply annual gatherings, but part of a legacy built through affection, service and belonging.

BSMC UK ALUMNI Reunion 2025
The BSMC Alumni Reunion 2025 was held on 13-14 September in Milton Keynes and Bedford. The weekend began at Novotel with lively introductions, engaging speaker sessions – including Ms. Emily Darlington MP, Dr. Ramesh Mehta CBE, Dr. Sourav Ghosh – and the launch of our updated website. A magical performance by Russ, cultural programs, and a vibrant DJ night added sparkle to Day 1.
Day 2 featured a scenic Bedford River Cruise, where alumni celebrated Durgotsov: একাল–সেকাল (Then & Now) through music, dance, and recitations, welcoming the spirit of Mahalaya. The reunion beautifully blended nostalgia, fellowship, and sustainability, leaving everyone enriched and connected.

On 14th September 2025, the alumni of Bankura Sammilani Medical College came together for a memorable cultural morning on the Bedford Cruise over the River Ouse. As autumn ushers in the spirit of Mahalaya, we celebrated Durgotsov: একাল–সেকাল (Then & Now), a bilingual performance interweaving music, dance, and recitation.
